My article, Wabi Sabi Stencil Prints on Black, was published recently. I wrote about a method I used to create a series of work. It combines my passions for printing on cloth, creating stencils on the cutting machine and quilting using my Babylock Sashiko machine. These pieces are gelatin printed on black cloth, then stenciled using several layers usually, then machine stitched.It’s fun to work on a dark ground! Art Quilting Studio is available at craft stores, and Barnes and Noble, as well as ordering from the publisher, Stampington Press. I am finding it fun to write about my work, as it also seems to incorporate elements of teaching, my life-long career.
